Dr. Markowski Bio:
Dr. William Markowski moved to the Florida Panhandle in 1993 to serve 4 years active duty for the United States Air Force. He left the Air Force in 1997 and joined Dr. Fox at Bluewater Orthopedics. Dr. Markowski is a board - certified orthopedic surgeon, specializes in joint replacement, hip, knee and shoulder arthroscopy, sports medicine, direct anterior hip replacement, hand surgery and fracture care.
Dr. Markowski received his Bachelor of Science in Pre- Medicine at Penn State University. He then completed his medical degree at Jefferson Medical College, in Philadelphia. Dr. Markowski went on to complete his general surgery residency at Abington Memorial Hospital in Abington Pennsylvania. After completing his general surgery residency he went on to complete his orthopedic surgery residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Pennsylvania.
When he is not working, Dr. Markowski enjoys golfing, using the stair master at the gym and working in the yard. He attends Christ Our Redeemer church with his wife and 2 daughters. He has completed 4, week long backpacking hikes to the bottom of the Grand Canyon. His favorite sports team are Penn State Nittany Lions and the Philadelphia Eagles. You can find him on the sidelines at Niceville High School on Friday night, he is one of the team doctors. He is an active member in the Caduceus Society.
