I ruptured my right bicep tendon, and was not able to get the surgery until 3 months after my initial injury. I was referred through the VA. My initial appt with Dr. Buchanan was extremely promising, as I previously had heard that generally this type of injury should be operated on as soon as possible, and at 3 months, well, I was looking at living with this injury for the rest of my life. At 36, and still living a very active lifestyle, it was a tough pill to possibly swallow. I was provided with options, and there was never a full promise that my injury could be repaired. Dr. Buchanan assured me that he felt confident that he could repair it, but also was honest about the possibility of waking up from surgery with an unsuccessful repair. Well, that was not the case, he repaired it and the healing process has gone quite well. I can’t thank you enough for your expertise and skilled ability to be able to give me back right bicep! I’m active and back to regularly doing push-ups, mild lifting, water sports, etc. Not too bad for just a few months outside of surgery!

I had a total replacement of my right knee. Dr. Markowski did a wonderful job with my surgery. The staff was always available and helpful.
